Nicole Woodruff, OTD, OTR/L, PCES, GTS

Dr. Nicole Woodruff is an occupational therapist and the founder of Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health in Tampa, Florida. With over 13 years of clinical experience, Nicole specializes in helping individuals with complex conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), POTS, MCAS, and chronic pain regain function and reconnect with their bodies. Her approach blends advanced manual therapy techniques, nervous system regulation, lifestyle strategies and corrective exercises to address not just the musculoskeletal system, but the emotional and physiological layers that influence healing.

After years of navigating her own health challenges, Nicole founded Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health to create the kind of care she wished existed—one that sees the whole person, not just the diagnosis. She is passionate about educating both clients and clinicians on the intersection of connective tissue disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction, emphasizing a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and deeply compassionate approach.

Nicole is a national speaker raising awareness about Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and the often-overlooked connection between chronic illness and pelvic health. She is also the author of Saving My Sister (2022), a memoir about grief, resilience, and finding meaning through loss. Her mission is to empower each client to feel seen, supported, and confident in their body’s capacity to heal.

Hi there! I’m the friendly face behind the scenes at ITPH! I am a wife and mama-to-be. I spent the last year traveling with my husband and exploring the country. I personally have experienced pelvic health concerns for over 10 years, and no one has helped me like Nicole! Now I get to help other women get their happiness back.

What Our Clients are saying:

  • J.R.

“Becoming a patient of Nicole’s was the best decision I made since being diagnosed with hEDS, POTS, MCAS, and more. She has helped me so much with managing my pain that comes with these diagnoses. I haven’t found anyone else that has been able to help me the way she has since I was diagnosed 7 years ago. Nicole has also helped me so much through my postpartum journey and the complications that can come from having a baby and having hEDS. Helping me with my pelvic floor health also helped my other symptoms related to my diagnoses more than I thought that it could. My pain has been greatly reduced and my symptoms are much more managed. She has helped me find my dream team of physicians as well! The best part is that she truly knows what I feel on a day to day basis which makes her care even more extraordinary. Becoming a patient at Intuitive Therapies & Pelvic Health was the best decision I could have made for my health.”

  • C.D.

“Working with Nicole is one of the best things I have done for myself postpartum. She’s helped me with not only my pelvic floor recovery, but with so many other aspects of my health. She’s identified and helped me resolve issues that I didn’t really know how to even communicate to other providers. She’s detailed, compassionate, and really spends her time getting to know her patients and tailoring her treatment plans. Her holistic approach, taking into account all of the connections between the mind and the body, makes you feel that you’re not only working on improving yourself physically and functionally but mentally and emotionally as well. I always leave her office feeling like I’ve worked on so many different things with her to better myself overall. I cannot recommend this gem of a human and incredibly skilled practitioner highly enough.”

  • S.J.

“Nicole is such a kind and gifted pelvic floor specialist! She has helped me so much with my pain and injured tailbone and you can tell she really cares about her patients and their overall well-being. I would recommend her to anyone needing help with any pain you have!”

  • L.Z.

“Nicole has been a lifesaver. She’s easy to open up to, and so kind and respectful. I’ve seen dramatic improvement in my symptoms since I started seeing her. 10/10 recommend!”

  • K.P.

“I had an incredible experience working with Nicole Woodruff! After experiencing daily pain and discomfort in my lower abdomen for almost two years post an unplanned caesarian surgery in 2021, I turned to Nicole for help.

Nicole was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in providing me with manual scar massage as well as low-impact stretches and exercises. Her techniques were tailored to my specific needs, and she took the time to explain everything thoroughly, making sure that I was comfortable with every step of the process. Within a couple of months of working with Nicole, I no longer felt pain or discomfort in my daily life!

At the beginning of 2024, I had a VBAC where I sustained 4th-degree tearing. Again, I was experiencing a considerable amount of pain, and while working with her in the office and completing the daily exercises at home, my pain has diminished considerably.

I couldn't be happier with the results, and I am so grateful to Nicole for her expertise, care, and support throughout my healing journey. I highly recommend Nicole for her extensive knowledge, compassion, and proven results. She truly has a gift for helping her patients achieve their goals and feel their best.”

  • A. K.

“Nicole Woodruff is an excellent therapist. I had an IC flare in August of 2023. My urologist suggested I see a pelvic floor therapist. She has excellent manual skills and very knowledgeable with specific exercises to relieve tension in the pelvic floor but most importantly she is very personable which makes you feel very comfortable during treatment!”

  • B.M.

"Nicole was amazing! She and I hit it off right away and it felt like I was hanging out with my best friend, with the added perk of healing my body. She is fantastic at explaining things and even includes visuals which helps me better understand my body better. I came to her pretty messed up after 4 children back to back and she got me to a place where i feel so much better in my body and I now have the tools to continue in my healing journey."

  • G.S.

"I came to pelvic therapy with a lot of anxiety about the issues I am having with pelvic organ prolapse. But after working with Nicole I am feeling much more confident that there are many things that I can do going forward to help myself. I chose Nicole because of her vast experience and credentials.”

  • J.J.

“Nicole helps people out a lot with not just pelvic floor but with connecting with yourself. She is a very good listener and shows no judgment towards you, she reminds you it is okay to cry and be human. She is a very knowledgeable pelvic floor therapist and uses many holistic techniques to heal the body. I would suggest her to anyone having pelvic floor issues.”

  • E.Y.

“I’m so happy to have found Nicole! I have hypermobile spectrum disorder, and I deeply appreciate having a practitioner with both the clinical and personal experience in this field. She genuinely cares about helping people, and whenever I step into her clinic, I feel physically and emotionally safe. She takes a holistic approach to solutions, is curious and a deep listener, and creates a plan that is personalized for my needs. After only a couple sessions, I can already see improvement in my pain!”

  • J.H.

“If you're on the fence about pelvic floor therapy because you don't understand the complexities of a pelvic floor, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Nicole. She listens intently, never makes you feel rushed, and wants to get to the root of your problem as much as you do. Most moms hear about the importance of PFTherapy, but never pursue it. I'm here to tell you, do it, and schedule yourself with one of the best in Tampa!”
